Story Time

As soon as Adoni and Eva rode off into the forest Setila got to work packing food for her own trip, putting everything in a small magic bag that could fit everything. She got her Crystal out of her room and left the house, flying in the opposite direction that Eva and Adoni had went. She flew fast and hard all day only stopping for lunch near a quiet creek. As the sun was setting she finally arrived at the house that Eva was born in. Her parents had given birth to another child after the queen had calmed down and stopped killing kids, however she still did not want anyone else in the kingdom to be the same age that her child would have been. The little boy, named Elijah, was playing with a stick in the front yard wen Setila flew down to the house. "Mommy, someone is here!" Elijah yelled, running into the house. Eva's mother came out of the house, drying her hands on her apron as she walked, Elijah was hiding behind her skirt. "Setila! Oh my! What are you doing here? Is everything alright? Is Eva okay?" she asked as she pulled her into the house and sat her down at the little worn out table. "Every thing is fine," Setila replied as she sat down, "would you like to see her?" Setila continued as she drew her crystal from her bag. Elijah and his mother leaned in close to look at the crystal. "Ooh, shiny!" Elijah exclaimed as he poked the crystal. Setila whispered some magic words to bring up a picture of Eva in the crystal, the image swirled into place and when it cleared up it showed a picture of Eva and Adoni sitting together by a campfire. "Oh my, she's getting married" her mother said and she started to cry tears of joy. Just then Eva's father came in from tending to the garden. he saw Setila and his wife crying and instantly thought "Oh no" "what has happened? he asked his heart full of fear. "Our daughter is getting married!" his wife exclaimed through her tears and laughter. "And I'm taking you guys to her wedding," Setila added. Both parents cried for joy and hurried to gather all that they needed for their trip. They asked their neighbor to help look after their animals and garden while they were away at their daughter's wedding. However, as soon as they left the neighbor's wife, who is a gossiper, told the news to everyone she knew and it wasn't long until the news of the forbidden child's marriage reached the ears of the queen. (To Be Continued...)
